A modern approach to evaluating the balance, alignment and mobility of your body. Dr. Vermander will take you through a thorough history, exam and treatment plan, looking for the root cause of your pain or injury or simply to help you maintain an active healthy lifestyle. Chiropractic care is safe for patients of all ages and an effective method of treating a wide range of bone and joint, nerve or muscle/soft tissue conditions. Chiropractors professionally guide patients through the healing process and are always looking to prevent conditions from becoming chronic through a team based approach and patient education.
During mountain bike and cycling competition in the ‘90’s and early 2000’s, Dr. Vermander found himself questioning how the human body works and why it responds the way it does. In 1999, He completed his B.Sc., Honours, in Human Kinetics, studying sports medicine, exercise physiology, and biomechanics at the University of Ottawa. He has worked in multidisciplinary clinics and appreciates the natural, team-like, conservative approach to medicine. This sparked the desire to pursue a career in Chiropractic medicine. Chiropractic health care is a combination of natural and conservative, physical medicine. It was a perfect fit. In 2009, Dr. Vermander graduated from the University of Western States (Portland, Oregon), one of the world’s best institutions teaching evidence-based chiropractic medicine. In 2010, he moved to Vancouver and has been enjoying the city, coast mountains and ocean with his family ever since.
He practices with a patient-centred, evidence-based chiropractic approach and often combines Active Release Technique (ART) and exercise to treat muscle, nerve, bone and joint problems.
