Vitae Health & Sport is rooted, quite literally, in the Tree of Life (latin: arbor vitae). The Western Arbor Vitae (Western Red Cedar) was, and still is, significant for many groups of people who live in North Vancouver, British Columbia. The Red Cedar symbolizes strength and is iconic in the Pacific Northwestern landscape. Additionally, the area of the human brain responsible for coordination of movement, the cerebellum, resembles a beautiful tree. Neurologists have appropriately named it the human’s Arbor Vitae since smooth and efficient movement is crucial to our daily lives.
